Jillian Reid is the Head of Sustainable Investment (Investment Management), based in Canberra. Jillian and her team lead on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) integration, stewardship, exclusions and sustainability themes implementation for the Mercer Funds in the Pacific. This includes systemic topics such as climate change. Jillian has worked in sustainable investment with Mercer since 2011, for many years advising asset owners and then Mercer’s regional Chief Investment Officers globally, before taking on the investment management role in late 2023. She has co-authored papers on the circular economy with IGCC in 2022 and Circular Australia in 2025 and sees clear benefits in challenging a linear approach to the growing list of climate, nature and social-related issues on investor agendas.
