Marco Lambertini (Virtual Presenter)
Convenor of Nature Positive Initiative
Marco Lambertini is the Convener of the Nature Positive Initiative and Executive Director of the film Becoming Nature Positive. He is a globally recognised leader in biodiversity, conservation and sustainable development, with decades of experience working with governments, business and civil society.
Prior to convening the Nature Positive Initiative, Marco served as Director General of WWF International from 2014 to 2022, leading the organisation through a period of significant global engagement on climate, nature and economic systems change. He has been a central voice in shaping the global nature‑positive agenda, including the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework, and continues to work with leaders worldwide to translate the goal of halting and reversing nature loss into practical action.
