Alana Lampitt is an environment and climate change, nature-related risk, and emissions trading law specialist.

Alana has over 20 years’ experience advising on environmental and climate change regulation. She specialises in climate and nature regulation and reporting as well as the legal and regulatory issues arising in carbon and nature markets. She advises carbon and nature project developers in both regulated and voluntary markets. She has advised multiple New Zealand corporates on climate change risk assessment, nature-related risk, emissions abatement and removal projects, offsetting, target setting, and voluntary carbon and nature management and reporting.

Alana co-authored the 2024 opinion for The Aotearoa Circle on New Zealand Director Duties to Manage Nature-Related Risk and Impact on Natural Capital.
