Online via Zoom meeting
RIAA's First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group is an initiative to support members in their stewardship responsibilities respecting First Nations peoples' rights in their business operations and their portfolio of companies.
This meeting will begin with a workshop on Mapping Global Standards (as part of the Educating workstream), facilitated by Rachel Tinkler. The meeting will then continue with an update on other key topics including Te Ao Māori approaches to investment, policy advocacy, and the NZ Sustainable Finance Strategy.
For this meeting we are pleased to be joined by Amanda Young, Executive Director at Pollination. Amanda discussed the inextricable link between nature and Indigenous peoples in any nature market aspiration and the direction of travel from stakeholder to partner and investment opportunity (including barriers).
Join us for a discussion with Catherine Riordan (Director Nature Financing and Markets Division | Nature Repair Market Branch | Nature Repair Committee) and Siobhan Toohill (Member, Nature Repair Committee) for an update on the Australian Nature Repair Market. Brought to you by RIAA’s Working Groups, this session will begin with a presentation by Catherine and Siobhan on how the Nature Repair Market will work, and the next steps coming up in its development. We will then have time at the end for questions and discussion. This event is open to RIAA Working Group and Nature External Reference Group members.
