Accelerating impact investing in Aotearoa requires a reimagining of capital and a massive shift in capital supply. This interactive workshop launches the RIAA Impact Investing Network’s (IIN) new Supply Pillar strategy. Drawing on the deep and diverse expertise of the IIN Advisory Committee, the session opens with high-impact case studies across social housing, iwi investment, banking, and KiwiSaver. Participants will then lead asset-class deep dives to diagnose systemic barriers. Moving beyond isolated sector silos, the room will collectively co-design multi-sector, blended finance frameworks and explore an integrated view of Aotearoa's impact capital landscape and concrete cross-sector collaborations.

Steven is a Partner at Parry Field Lawyers with a focus on businesses and organisations – supporting purpose-led clients across Aotearoa with their legal structures and capital raising. Steven has worked as a lawyer for 25 years including overseas in Tokyo, London and Sydney, and is now based in Ōtautahi Christchurch. He is also the Chair of Community Finance which has raised more than $500 million for social housing, and he hosts Seeds podcast which has more than 500 episodes of conversations with inspiring people.

After more than 25 years’ experience in leadership roles within the financial services sector I am now a full time governor. I hold a wide range of roles including chair of New Ground Capital, deputy chair of Nelson Building Society (NBS), independent Director of Strategi Group and FSCL - Financial Ombudsman. I am a director of the Impact Enterprise Fund and an advisory committee member for Giving Architects, investment committee member for Metis Research Ltd and on the nominating committee for the Guardians of the NZ Superannuation Fund.
General Manager Heritage & Identity at Waikato-Tainui
Glenda is of Maniapoto, Waikato and Ngaapuhi descent and leads out the tribal distributions framework for Waikato-Tainui.
An MBA graduate and a PhD student, Glenda's work focuses on integrated programme and investment models that enable communities to design and lead and identifying systemic moves away from granting and dependency.
Glenda also leads out the cultural heritage portfolios for the organisation, including protected objects, restoration and conservation of tribal artefacts, archives and capacity building programmes.
Her current work includes supporting the design and implementation of a tribal Social Investment Fund which focuses on health and financial independence tactics for tribal households. The Fund has a clear theory of change that put tribal families at the heart of decision making. Tribal nations have unique value, where investment deployment uses blending finance and procurement methods to create wholistic impact using tribal leverage and relationships.
Glenda holds governance and advisory roles in philanthropy, impact investment Maaori land blocks and education institutions.

He acts as a strategic learning partner, supporting purpose-driven organisations to understand and scale their impact while challenging traditional power dynamics. Safe brings extensive experience in impact investment, IMM, and the iNGO sector across the UK and Aotearoa New Zealand. Driven by a passion to scale impact through finance, he offers a unique blend of financial acumen and social impact to amplify marginalised voices, drive systemic change, and build a more equitable and inclusive society.
