This meeting will begin with a sharing session about the NatSTART tool and how it can be useful for investors presented by Judy Slater (Chair, NSW Net Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board; Director, Climate Leaders Coalition; President, WWF-Australia; Lead, AI@Scale Think Tank (National AI Centre), and Director, Talent Beyond Boundaries) and Sally Townsend (Head of Sustainability at Blackmores Group).This will then be followed by a series of industry updates including our regular StockWatch Report, Aotearoa Update, the Nature Toolkit Sub-Group and an update about RIAA’s Policy work.


After stepping away from CEO roles, Judy is using this decade to support Australia, Australians, and Australian businesses to adapt to the future ahead, particularly given the impact of climate change, sustainability and frontier technologies. She has a portfolio of initiatives which are targeted to this including Board and advisory roles. These include: Chair, NSW Net Zero Emissions and Clean Economy Board; Director, Climate Leaders Coalition; President, WWF-Australia; Lead, AI@Scale Think Tank (National AI Centre), and Director, Talent Beyond Boundaries.
Prior to this Judy was the CEO of Australian Red Cross. Before that Judy held the roles of Chief Operating Officer for Worldwide Fund for Nature (Int'l), CEO of Lonely Planet and Chief of Consumer Sales, Telstra Corporation. Judy's experience spans the corporate, government and civil society sectors as well as working in Australia and internationally.


Sally Townsend is Head of Sustainability for Blackmores Group with responsibility for the Group Sustainability Vision aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and is working to integrate these commitments into the core business strategy to deliver on the company’s sustainability vision for a world where people and nature thrive together. In 2020, Blackmores committed to Net Zero Emissions by 2030 and has progressed the journey to have a deeper understanding of human rights, climate resilience and biodiversity impacts across their global supply chain.
Blackmores was one of the first businesses to pilot the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures framework and is on the Australian Climate Leaders Coalition’s Nature working group.
