RIAA's Nature Working Group is an initiative to support members in their stewardship responsibilities to protect nature and biodiversity in their business operations and their portfolio of companies.
The Nature Working Group has a three-fold purpose:
- Supporting members to identify and address nature-related investment risks and opportunities including impacts and dependencies
- Supporting members to consider nature in the stewardship of their assets;
- and Finding and sharing the most impactful local and international research and regulatory developments on nature for responsible investors.
The above purpose should be fulfilled with the understanding of the connectedness of this work with Indigenous People and Local Communities, Human Rights and Climate.
We are pleased to have Terina Williams (Senior Investment Strategist – Sustainable Investment at NZ Super Fund) and Claire Molinari (General Manager Responsible Investment at CareSuper) speaking at the next Nature Working Group meeting to delve into case studies on measuring nature by investors. This session builds upon the nature workshop at the recent RIAA Australia Conference to have the opportunity to dive deeper and ask Claire and Terina questions regarding their journey in measuring nature.
The meeting will then follow with industry, subgroup, policy and advocacy and StockWatch report updates.
