RIAA’s Nature Working Group is an initiative to support members to consider and respond to nature-related risks and opportunities in their responsible investment programs (investors) and business operations (companies).

The Nature Working Group has a three-fold purpose:

  • Supporting members to identify and address nature-related investment risks and opportunities including impacts and dependencies
  • Supporting members to consider nature in the stewardship of their assets; and
  • Finding and sharing the most impactful local and international research and regulatory developments on nature for responsible investors.

The above purpose should be fulfilled with the understanding of the connectedness of this work with Indigenous People and Local Communities, Human Rights and Climate.

We are pleased to have Joanne Lee, Responsible Investment Director at First Sentier Investors (FSI), join us as a speaker for our first Nature Working Group meeting for 2025. With over 14 years of experience in environmental finance, Joanne is currently leading the development and implementation of the FSI's Responsible Investment (RI) initiatives, with a focus on nature and biodiversity. Based in Hong Kong, she provides ESG/RI advisory and analytical support to the Asia-based investment and distribution teams.

Joanne will be speaking on FSI's work on nature including the Investors Can Access Nature Now (ICANN), nature targets and report writing on the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). Following Joanne's presentation, there will be a Q&A session where attendees have the opportunity to ask Joanne any and all nature-related questions.
