RIAA's First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group is an initiative to support members in their stewardship responsibilities respecting First Nations peoples' rights in their business operations and their portfolio of companies.

The First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group has a three-fold purpose: address and advance the rights of First Nations peoples; elevate First Nations peoples' participation and voices in the investment sector; and increase access, scale and impact of First Nations peoples' related investment activity.

We are pleased to have Joe Morrison, CEO of the Indigenous Land and Sea Corporation, join us for our third First Nations Peoples' Rights Working Group for 2025. Joe Morrison is Dagoman and Mualgal and has over 30 years’ experience working with Indigenous people in northern Australia, nationally and more recently globally. He has extensive experience in public policy, governance, research, Indigenous development, native title, land rights, land and sea management and economic development.

Following Joe's presentation, the meeting will continue with industry and subgroup updates, including on Aotearoa New Zealand, First Nations Heritage Protection Alliance, the Dhawura Ngilan Business and Investor Initiative and relevant policy and advocacy.
