Overview

While we have responsibility for the investment options that are
made available to members, FGIM is responsible for overseeing
and monitoring the performance of the unit trusts and underlying
investments.
FGIM uses responsible investment tools such as negative
screening, positive screening, impact investing and stewardship
in the implementation of the investment strategies of the unit trusts.
The application of this approach is captured in FGIM's Product and
Screening Matrix available at
www.futuresuper.com.au/ethical-investing with particular focus
on managing climate and other sustainability risks (often referred
to as ESG investing).
In its investment approach, FGIM considers the risks and
opportunities of climate change adaptation and mitigation. It also
considers other related environmental and social issues such as
social justice, drivers of inequality and companies generating profits
from armaments and militarism.
For a more detailed description of the sustainability risks taken into
account by FGIM (including the environmental, social or ethical
considerations or labour standards considered for this purpose),
and the approach to screening adopted by FGIM in relation to
investment options made available in Future Super, please see
their Product & Screening Matrix available at
www.futuresuper.com.au/ethical-investing
The investment strategy and objectives are subject to review
regularly by FG Services.
If FGIM identifies an asset in the underlying unit trusts that no
longer complies with relevant screens, it will be removed from the
unit trust as soon as practicable. You should be aware that the sale
of assets may take some time. This means that FGIM cannot
guarantee that the underlying investments will be consistent with
the investment strategy and screening processes at all times.
Exposure to investments engaged in or connected with excluded
activities, industries or companies may occur, notwithstanding
reasonable endeavours to ensure the investments are compatible
with the investment strategy and screens. Cash held with or through
custodians or sub-custodians may be held with financial institutions
which have not been ethically approved for investments. See
FGIM's Product & Screening Matrix available at
www.futuresuper.com.au/ethical-investing for more information.
