The Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) has today announced the 2026 Responsible Super Fund Leaders, Responsible Investment Leaders and Responsible Investors in Australia at the RIAA Conference Australia, recognising organisations setting the pace for responsible investment as expectations continue to rise.
A total of 12 Responsible Super Fund Leaders, 47 Responsible Investment Leaders an 26 Responsible Investors were recognised this year.
The 2026 recognitions come at a time of heightened global scrutiny. While ESG (environmental, social and governance) has faced increased debate and pressure, this is sharpening expectations across the market.
“Responsible investment is entering a more mature phase, where leadership is defined by what organisations do, not just what they say,” said Estelle Parker, Co-CEO of RIAA.
“We’re seeing leading organisations lean into transparency, governance and evidence, translating intent into practice through clearer disclosure, stronger reporting and the use of independent verification. That’s building confidence for investors and strengthening trust across the market.”
Organisations recognised this year demonstrated strong governance frameworks, systematic integration of ESG factors into investment decision-making, and transparent reporting on long-term outcomes and stewardship activities, including use of independent verification.
These trends are contributing to higher standards across the market, including more consistent disclosure practices, improved visibility of ESG risk management processes and clearer evidence of how responsible investment approaches are being implemented in practice.
RIAA’s leadership recognitions assess organisations on a whole-of-organisation basis, drawing on surveys, public disclosures and structured evidence. Responsible Super Fund Leaders represent the highest-scoring super funds assessed across governance, commitment, implementation, outcomes and transparency. Responsible Investment Leaders and Responsible Investors are assessed across four pillars covering commitment, ESG integration, stewardship and capital allocation.
RIAA congratulates all organisations recognised this year for their leadership and contribution to advancing responsible investment practice across Australia.
