Founded in 1966, Payton’s origins are as an accounting practice. Recognising the opportunity in Australian private real estate debt, in 2012 Payton restructured to become an investment manager. Due to the continued growth in this sector, Payton launched its first mortgage fund, the Payton Select Investment Fund, in 2018. Today, Payton specialises in the provision of wholesale debt to businesses and real estate developers, and the origination of attractive risk-adjusted investment products for domestic and offshore wholesale/sophisticated investors, family office and institutional investors. Payton’s Board of Directors, senior management and Investment Committee bring together more than 200 years of relevant experience in property investment, property development, funds management, banking, law, valuation, and commercial mortgage lending. Headquartered in Melbourne, with offices in Sydney and Brisbane, Payton works with a national network of borrowing and investing clients, with active involvement in transactions across the Eastern Seaboard. Since becoming a Fund Manager, Payton has funded over $2bn in projects. But what sets Payton apart from its competitors, is its desire to support the vulnerable people in society and to create a lasting philanthropic legacy. That’s why Payton donated 20% of its shares to the Payton Foundation, allowing significant financial dividends to be invested with our charitable partners both in Australia and overseas. This is our triple bottom line – creating wealth for our clients, creating wealth for our shareholders, and making a lasting and meaningful difference in the lives of those less fortunate
