Mike has 14 years of experience in the financial services sector. His most recent role was with a Wellington-based private wealth business where he was responsible for managing an investment team that looked after more than $500m for individuals, family trusts, and charitable trusts. While there, he developed and implemented a socially responsible investment strategy and portfolio. In this role, he was also an Investment Committee member and oversaw a team of investment advisers.
Mike’s other previous experience includes working in corporate finance for a renewable energy company, and a private equity firm in London. He is also a CFA® charterholder and has a Master of Business in Finance.
Mike grew up in Dunedin and went to the University of Otago. He is now based in Wellington and is married with three children (Harvey, Jem, and Leon). He is a keen sports fan, which now sees him coaching kids' football, playing the occasional round of golf, and riding his e-bike.
