Larissa Taylor, Director, Savoir Consulting: ESG, Sustainability, Food & Agribusiness
Larissa Taylor is an ESG sustainability consultant and change maker working in green and blue agrifood supply chains, carbon and nature repair markets. Based in Perth Western Australia in the Indian Ocean time-zone, Larissa works on transformational climate and nature food system projects for the energy transition. Larissa specializes in ESG, climate and nature risk strategy formation, TCFD and TNFD aligned, natural capital and sustainability capacity building in trade exposed primary industries and agrifood processing systems. In 2021 Larissa designed and delivered the Western Australian grain industry’s first net zero project, the Carbon Neutral Grain Pilot project. Larissa is an advisor to several corporate agribusiness firms, the national Carbon Market Institute, a national GHG geospatial service firm, a farm business advice firm, the Western Australian Biodiversity Science Institute, and is currently working on TNFD aligned industry pilots in both the seafood and broadacre agriculture supply chains.
Larissa previously worked as CEO of the Grain Industry Association of Western Australia, served on the Grain Trade Australia Trade and Market Access Committee, coordinated grain standards reviews for the Western Australian export grain industry, participated in free trade agreement capacity building in Indonesian, Japanese and Indian markets. Earlier in her career Larissa worked in industry development and executive education at the University of Western Australia, agrifood research and finance at Rabobank Australia, McKinsey & Co research. Larissa has trained in net zero business transformation through the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, has an honours degree in Asian Studies from ANU, MBA from the University of New South Wales, AICD qualifications and has lived and worked in Canberra, Sydney, Jakarta, Houston, Kuala Lumpur and Perth.
Larissa co-convenes or contributes to a number of energy transition and food systems networks including the informal Agrifood CEO WA network, the AgZero2030 network. Larissa speaks Bahasa Indonesia, colloquial French, chairs the Australia Indonesia Business Council in Western Australia and serves on the DFAT Council for Australia Arab Relations. She is a member of the Responsible Investment Association of Australia, Australian Farm Institute, Australian Association of Agricultural Consultants, Chamber of Commerce & Industry WA. Larissa grew up on a mixed grain and livestock farm called ‘Stirling View’ on Noongar Boodja land at Tambellup in the Great Southern of Western Australia and has a passion for all things nature and gardening.
