James joined Koda Capital in early 2018 after spending more than seven years at JBWere. Prior to this he was a tax adviser at KPMG in Sydney where he focused on corporate and private client engagements that included structuring arrangements, due diligence and compliance positions. At Koda he has a particular interest in asset allocation and risk management, and sometimes draws on his experiences outside of wealth management to understand the complete picture of a client’s circumstances.
James has a growing collection of high-net-worth clients including professionals, business owners, retirees and sportspeople. He also collaborates with Frank Macindoe on portfolio strategy for clients with a wide range of mandates.
James has a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, and is an ASX Accredited Derivatives Adviser (Level 1 and 2).
