Established in December 2009 and operational since January 2010, Harbour was formed by a core team of investment experts who had previously worked together for a global investment management firm. Harbour’s sole focus is managing our external clients’ money, and today we manage more than $4bn for a variety of clients. ESG (environmental, social and governance) considerations play a central role in Harbour’s investment philosophy. We have integrated ESG factors in core research and portfolio management for all Harbour funds, and have been signatories to the UN Principles of Responsible Investment since 2010. We believe our integrative process yields stronger investment returns than screening processes. This integration is captured through multiple elements, including our own Corporate Behaviour Survey, active engagement, proxy voting and external ESG research.
