Beyond divestment - Stewardship, engagement and the power of active ownership

27 & 28 May - Program snapshot

This session will ensure a focused, balanced and high-quality exploration of stewardship, engagement and shareholder activism. Given the complexity of active ownership, this panel allows for a discussion that reflects the realities of how stewardship operates across the investment ecosystem. Join us to hear a diverse set of perspectives directly from industry experts – including a large asset owner, a licensee responsible for approved product lists, and a global proxy voting specialist. These experts will discuss how advisers can exercise active ownership and ensure transparent communication while managing client wealth with care and due diligence. We will explore what meaningful and responsible engagement on behalf of clients looks like, and how advisers can shift from passive investors to active participants in practice, prioritising the long-term holistic well-being of their clients.
