Position Purpose
The Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA) is looking for an enthusiastic and eager to learn analyst to support RIAA’s growing Responsible Investment Certification Program.
This is an ideal position for someone early in their finance, science and/or corporate sustainability-related career who is looking to work in a collegiate and dynamic team.

About the role
As a member of a dynamic team, this position is a great opportunity to be an integral player in ensuring RIAA delivers on its product certification and classifications goals and strategies, which is central to its vision. RIAA works to promote, advocate for, and support approaches to responsible investment that align capital with achieving a healthy and sustainable society, environment and economy. The RIAA Certification team meets market and member demand for certified responsible investment products and advice.
You will work closely with the Head of Certification, Certification Manager, the Certification Program team, Membership and Engagement, and other RIAA team members. You will be a key member of the Certification team with responsibility for assessing financial products and advisers against the Responsible Investment Standard and submitting/presenting to Certification Assessment Panels for approval.
About you
The successful applicant will be fully immersed in Responsible Investment strategies from the get-go and undertake a rigorous in-house induction program to build your assessment and pipeline management capabilities.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a complex and fast-moving organisation. You are inquisitive, confident and can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
You will have expertise in:
- Finance, science or corporate sustainability-related disciplines
- Synthesising public facing collateral, for example, Public Disclosure Statements, Information Memorandums, stewardship reports and corporate websites
- Writing succinct analyst reports
You will demonstrate an:
- Eagerness to learn
- Exceptional teamwork and commitment to respectful and inclusive work culture
- Interest in Responsible Investment
