UnitingCare NSW/ACT is the community services, social justice and chaplaincy arm of the Uniting Church in Australia, NSW & ACT Synod. Its work is strongly grounded in social justice. Its community services work is conducted through three service groups: UnitingCare Ageing; UnitingCare Children Young People and Families; UnitingCare Children’s Services. Among its brands are UnitingCare Burnside and UnitingCare Unifam. It also acts as the umbrella body for all community services work conducted within the Synod by congregations, parish missions and other agencies. One of its tasks for the Synod is to monitor the investment portfolios of the Church to ensure that they comply with the Synod’s ethical principles.
