Established in 1959 as a superannuation fund for the staff of private schools, Combined Fund (formerly Combined Schools Superannuation Fund) also provides a comprehensive range of benefits for the employees of other bodies involved in education and training, charities, religious organisations, non-profit organisations dedicated to providing community services and other selected employers. Unlike many other “industry funds” which tend to dictate the range and design of benefits to participating employers, Combined Fund enables employers to replicate existing benefit arrangements (including the most complex Defined Benefits) and to offer full flexibility of insurance and investment choice to their employees, including an SRI option.
