Investors are looking to integrate environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues into investment decision making and ownership practices. The Responsible Investment Association is here to help. RIAA provides training & professional development, events, research and policy initiatives that promote stable markets, maximise financial returns and create positive environmental, social and governance outcomes.
TRAINING & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – to solidify your knowledge
RIAA’s core offerings are designed to ensure that responsible investment continues to grow in popularity, professionalism and trust.
One of RIAA’s main initiatives, the RI Academy, is the world’s first structured learning pathway for financial services, corporate, and other professionals needing to understand how environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues are impacting investment decision making, shareholder value, and ongoing access to investment and capital markets.
EVENTS – to meet the right people
RIAA events provide you with the opportunity to learn from globally recognised leaders in responsible investment, network with other investment professionals striving to better understand and integrate ESG issues into their investment models, and gather insight into the latest tools and resources in the industry.
Events include: RIAA’s famous biennial conference, our specific sector alert events, informative RI industry briefings in New Zealand and around Australia, our annual Benchmark Report launch, informal “RI drinks” gatherings, and more!
RESEARCH – to dispel myths and give you access to trusted data
RIAA’s annual benchmark report is Australasia’s only comprehensive study on who’s who in the RI market in Australia and New Zealand, as well as the size of our industry.
Our sector alerts provide unique insight into the materiality of the environmental, social and governance issues facing a specific sector and their financial impacts.
POLICY INITIATIVES – to engage with government on ESG issues
RIAA engages with select groups of MPs and Senators in order to try to help deliver legislative solutions that recognise key interrelationships between current reforms and better investment outcomes in relation to environmental, social and governance risk and return.
