David Gait is a senior portfolio manager with First State Investments’ Emerging Markets/Asia Pacific (ex-Japan) team, having joined the Company in 1997.
He is the lead portfolio manager of the First State Asia Pacific Sustainability Fund which was launched in 2005, and co-manager of the First State Indian Subcontinent Fund. He is also responsible for evolving the team’s sustainable investment approach across all Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific strategies.
David holds an BA with honours in Economics from Cambridge University, and a Master of Science in Investment Analysis from Stirling University.
