BT Investment Management (BTIM) provides investment solutions across a range of asset classes. Our investment management business has four dedicated boutiques covering: Equity Strategies; Income Strategies; Macro Strategies and Multi Strategies: including alternatives and socially responsible investments (both Ethical and Sustainability/Best-of-Sector).
Our in-house teams actively manage investments in these strategies where we believe we have a comparative advantage – Australian equities and listed property, Australian and international income and alternative investments.
Investors can also invest in other BTIM funds managed via our strategic alliances with external specialist managers.
BTIM’s Socially Responsible Investment (SRI) funds
BTIM has been a leader in the sustainable investing arena, and together with Monash Sustainability Enterprises (MSE) are pioneers in offering SRI solutions to the Australian marketplace.
BTIM is also a leading participant in many SRI-related activities, including being a:
- Signatory to the Carbon Disclosure Project;
- Founding member of the Investors Group on Climate Change.
In addition, BTIM’s affiliated company, BT Financial Group, is a signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) as an Investment Manager.
BTIM’s range of SRI Funds include Australian and international share funds (active and passive) and diversified/balanced funds and they cover two broad investment strategies: Sustainability and Ethical.
We incorporate Environmental, Social and Governance issues (ESG) into the investment analysis and decision making for all of our SRI Funds and we exclusively receive ESG ratings on stocks from Monash Sustainability Enterprises (MSE) via our provider Regnan. MSE is a global leader in assessing, rating and engaging companies on sustainable development. In 2001, we worked with MSE to design and develop the first comprehensive proprietary ESG assessment framework in Australia which it uses to rate the S&P/ASX 200 companies.
